The Sales, Fundraising & Philanthropy Account Manager ensures Pink Triangle Press’ programs, products and services resonate with new and current advertisers, sponsors, philanthropic organizations, granters and other funders, to meet and exceed our revenue targets.

The Key Accountabilities of the Role Are:

Driving sales through lead generation and new business development, including identification and assessment for new funding and revenue opportunities for PTP’s programs, initiatives and services.

  • Identify and develop revenue and fundraising opportunities and revenue growth opportunities across all Programs, Initiatives and Services, including Philanthropy
  • Secure sponsors and business partners, working in collaboration with internal departments, where applicable.
  • Collaborate with the Advertising & Partnerships Manager to develop targeting and prospecting strategy, defining value-proposition, key messaging, communications plan to convert to Sales.
  • Build sales strategies that increases visibility and awareness for PTP’s Programs, Initiatives, Services and other offerings (and/or create new innovative assets) that will resonate with sources of funding and convert to revenue streams
  • Identify new sales and sponsorship opportunities that align with PTP’s advocacy mission
  • Develop and oversee processes for identifying new funding/revenue opportunities including, but not limited to: sponsorships, foundations, charitable giving, and other funding sources
  • In collaboration with the ED, MD, Head of Marketing, and Advertising & Partnership Manager, lead pitches to potential sources of funding, in-person, virtually and through public speaking and media/social opportunities
  • Effectively communicate the PTP value proposition through proposals and presentations, including an active social media strategy, press/media kits and email marketing
  • Create customized sales and sponsorship presentations and pitch decks and present to potential clients, building advocacy collaborations through sales & sponsorship opportunities
  • Create sponsorship, in-kind, and co-branded partnership opportunities
  • Develop multi-platform opportunities across PTP's brands
  • Using a CRM, build and maintain pipelines, relationship tracking and communications
  • Own and meet/exceed annual Revenue targets across all Sales and Philanthropy Programs

Building, executing and overseeing a fundraising strategy and process for identifying and evaluating new funding and revenue opportunities from philanthropic/charitable/public sector sponsorships.

  • Bring in Funding from Philanthropic/Charitable/Public Sector sources including sponsorships, to support Advocacy Initiatives (e.g. Healthcare) and Content Production.
  • Identify Sales opportunities with organizations, sponsors and funders to support PTP’s Health platform and programs
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue for PTP’s digital health platform
  • Lead "end of year" giving campaigns, monthly donor campaigns and cause-related partnerships
  • Develop Charitable contributions as a significant and ongoing revenue stream for PTP, against a portfolio of Advocacy Programs, Initiatives and Services that motivate Charitable giving from LGBTQ2S+ Community members and Allies.
  • Develop and manage fundraising strategies for major donors, corporate partners and foundations
  • In collaboration with other senior leaders, help Identify, evaluate and secure new funding from Public/Government sources*, to support a portfolio of Advocacy Programs, Initiatives and Services.
  • Make innovative use of internal and external insights and data to constantly improve the development of Advocacy Programs, Initiatives and Services.
  • Ensure all new initiatives and opportunities are vetted for their ability to bring in revenue and generate net margin
  • Research and identify grant opportunities with funders and foundations that prioritize DEI, philanthropy and advocacy
  • Submit and write grant applications and proposals alongside direct manager and other internal departments

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with successful track record in Sales, Media/Sponsorships or related field
  • 8+ years of Senior Level Sales Experience
  • Proven experience contributing meaningfully to the success of a not-for-profit, charity, or advocacy organization
  • Significant record of accomplishment in the Sponsorship/Media Sales space

Key Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated Strategic Vision with a proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive Fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Pitch Expertise: Experience in taking a “case for support” to market successfully.
  • Client Relationship Management: Exceptional relationship-building skills, fostering strong connections with clients and sponsors.
  • Sponsorship Acquisition: Proven ability to identify, negotiate, and secure sponsorship deals that align with the organization’s brand and content.
  • Experience in Media Relations and PR, with an ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage and amplify company/organizational messaging.
