Who We Are
A division of Steve’s Livestock Transport, BVT Truck & Trailer Repair offers full-service repairs and maintenance on all varieties of trucks and trailers. BVT Truck & Trailer Repair has grown into three locations to serve our customers in Blumenort and Brandon, MB as well as our branch in Red Deer, AB.
We are currently looking for a Parts/Service Advisor to join our team in Red Deer! In this dual role, you’ll spend about 70% of your time handling service writing—booking appointments and coordinating repairs. The other 30% involves sourcing, ordering, and dispensing parts, and supporting technicians and customers with parts needs. Customer service and organization are key!
HOURS OF WORK: Friday – Monday, 7:00AM – 5:30PM (4x 10-hour shifts per week)
Responsibilities:
- 70% Service writing & 30% Parts Advisor
- Scheduling and planning, including coordination with internal fleet logistics
- Open and close of work orders, and assign technicians
- Distribute parts to technicians and track inventory usage
- Generate estimates for repairs
- Review technician times and work explanations
- Inventory ordering, data entry, reporting, counting, warranty tracking, and control
- Cost control
- Light retail parts sales
- Light shipping and receiving duties
Skills & Experience
- Service-writing experience
- Customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, computers, and internet
- Experience with Transman/Trimble/AMS Software an asset
- Preference will be given to candidates with a trucking background and/or parts experience
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license

About Steve's Livestock Transport
Founded in 1987 as a one-man operation, Steve's Livestock Transport has since grown to become North America's largest commercial livestock transportation company. Over the last 25 years, we have expanded to include a dry freight division. We have three locations to serve our customers, in Blumenort and Brandon, Manitoba and Acme, Alberta.
We have a fleet of 130 power units, transporting more than 2,500 cattle and 150,000 pigs per week within Canada and the United States. All 3 of our locations have commercial washing and repair facilities for trucks and trailers. In addition to servicing our own units, these facilities provide custom washing and repairs for other large equipment and fleets as well.
