About the Job
Kent is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary
engineering, procurement, construction, and EPCM projects throughout their lifecycle. The successful candidate will provide leadership for project execution while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, commercial, and client requirements. The Senior Project Manager will provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary project teams, oversee commercial performance, manage project risks, develop client relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of projects while promoting Kent's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. The position reports to the Director of Projects.

Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering and EPC/EPCM projects from initiation through closeout.
- Develop project execution strategies and project management plans.
- Build and lead high-performing project teams.
- Establish project objectives aligned with client and business goals.
- Promote a culture of safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Project Delivery
- Manage scope, schedule, budget and quality.
- Monitor project performance and key milestones.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure successful delivery of engineering and construction activities.
- Manage project change and contract administration.
Client & Commercial Management
- Serve as the primary client representative.
- Maintain positive client relationships.
- Manage commercial performance and forecasting.
- Support contract negotiations and business development opportunities.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage project budgets.
- Review cost reports and forecasts.
- Monitor profitability and project financial performance.
- Support invoicing and earned value reporting.
Leadership
- Mentor Project Managers and Project Engineers.
- Support succession planning and employee development.
- Promote collaboration across all project disciplines.
HSSEQ
- Ensure compliance with Kent's HSSEQ Management System.
- Promote a strong safety culture.
- Participate in incident investigations and lessons learned.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required
to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization while supporting professional development.
Your Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience
Knowledge/Qualifications/Training/Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive project management experience.
- Experience leading EPC/EPCM industrial projects.
- Strong commercial, contractual and leadership experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
Communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong client relationship management abilities.
- Effective negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
