Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate will perform day-to-day investigative tasks such as conducting surveillance, gathering and documenting evidence, preparing detailed reports, and supporting fraud and loss prevention investigations. Responsibilities may include coordinating with clients, liaising with law enforcement or legal teams as required, and participating in undercover or security operations. The role involves maintaining strict confidentiality, adhering to all relevant laws and organizational policies, and using sound judgment in dynamic situations. The candidate will also be expected to attend briefings, follow established investigative protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement of investigative practices. Qualifications Strong investigative and analytical abilities, including attention to detail, critical thinking, and evidence-gathering skills. Experience or training in surveillance techniques, fraud investigation, or loss prevention, preferably within a security or investigative environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate, and objective reports. Ability to work on-site in Ottawa, ON, including flexible hours when required, and to operate independently while following organizational procedures. Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and discretion, with a commitment to legal compliance and ethical conduct. Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to investigations and security within Ontario is an asset. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred; relevant certifications in security or investigations are considered an advantage.
