POSITION BENEFITS
4 on / 4 off rotation with 11-hour day shifts. No night shifts! $29 - $38/hour based on experience 2 weeks vacation Direct deposit pay, twice monthly Consistent, steady work in a professional and respectful environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General welding repairs on trailers, trucks, and custom equipment Perform welding repair inspections and time estimates on both on and off-road equipment Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine requirements Complete Structural Welding Customize mobile equipment and/or parts as per the customer's request Provide welding support primarily in the shop and occasionally in the field Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner Develop a welding repair process with the Service Manager Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and guidelines REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS As a member of the Summit Truck and Equipment Repair team, we expect you to bring the following to the table: Journeyman Red Seal Welder certification 3-4 years of experience in commercial truck and trailer welding repairs Team player who can share his/her knowledge by teaching and coaching junior employees Ability to work safely in a challenging environment with minimal supervision Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving ability Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding duties Must be computer literate and have the ability to learn new programs Demonstrate and promote work-safe practices JOIN THE TEAM If you think there's a fit, we look forward to meeting you and thank you in advance for your application Visit our website to learn more about The Sutherland Group ABOUT SUMMIT TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT REPAIR Summit Truck and Equipment Repair offers heavy equipment and commercial transport repair based in Salmo, British Columbia.
