About the role
Your practicality is as sharp as your problem-solving skills.
The Maintenance Attendant is a hands-on professional who ensures the smooth operation of our hotel’s facilities. - Carry out daily maintenance tasks and log activities in the schedule.
- Perform both interior and exterior work to maintain property standards.
- Report defective systems and carry out necessary repairs.
- Handle moving, lifting, and transporting materials, sometimes outside the property.
- Assist with setup and relocation of equipment, including moving items up and down stairs, ramps, or ladders.
- Maintain all mechanical components of the building under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform minor electrical work (e.g., changing light bulbs).
- Follow service manuals and sound engineering practices when maintaining or replacing systems, ensuring compliance with building codes, health, safety, and hygiene standards.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Experience in building or facility maintenance.
- High School Diploma; College diploma in Building Mechanical Systems or equivalent is an asset.
- Strong physical condition — able to handle heavy materials and perform labour-intensive duties (lift, carry, push, pull, and move up to 100 pounds without assistance).
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to take initiative in solving technical challenges.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Passionate about travel? Take advantage of special rates when you stay with Germain Hotels and travel the country. Again and again!
