Summary & Objectives: MKS Instruments’ OSP division designs, manufactures, and distributes a wide range of optical sensors and systems to measure temperature and position. These products improve performance and enable innovation for our customers and are used in the semiconductor and other high technology industries. Our clients provide solutions to some of the biggest semiconductor manufacturers whose products can be found in everyday electronic devices, cellphones, smart watches, TVs, and computers. MKS Instruments is seeking a Facilities Intern/Co-op to support daily operations, maintenance planning, and improvement projects in a manufacturing and office setting. You'll also assist with a new building project, gaining hands-on experience in real estate development, space planning, and contractor coordination. Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, this role offers practical training in facilities management, asset tracking, EHS compliance, and the opportunity to contribute to impactful infrastructure initiatives.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Assisting with facility inspections and help track corrective actions and EHS compliance.
- Supporting preventive maintenance scheduling and documentation using CMMS.
- Helping coordinate vendor activities, including janitorial, HVAC, fire protection, and landscaping.
- Contributing to asset tracking, space planning, and internal office moves.
- Assisting with new building project coordination, including contractor walkthroughs, documentation, and logistical planning.
- Maintaining facility records, SDS binders, evacuation & emergency plans, and signage.
- Focusing on energy sustainability initiative and respond to internal work requests and help with safety drills, signage, and events.
Skills You Bring:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Facilities Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Organized, self-driven, and willing to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; CMMS and AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Strong interest in facility operations, EHS programs, and capital projects.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Compensation: Hourly Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour. This rate is a reasonable expectation of pay for this position, based on a range of factors including qualifications, experience, education, training, operational and business needs and other considerations
