Project Controls Specialist, Microgrids – Houston

This position will help drive the successful delivery of our major projects. In this role, you’ll monitor, analyze, and forecast key performance indicators to keep projects on track, on budget, and aligned with business goals. You’ll work closely with project managers and leadership to provide clear insights and recommendations that support smart decision-making.

This position is based in Houston, Texas and the successful candidate will be required to relocate.

What you will be Doing:

  • Developing, updating, and maintaining detailed project schedules using industry-standard software.

  • Tracking progress and performance against established plans, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

  • Partnering with project managers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to validate data and performance metrics.

  • Assisting in building and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and cost reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.

  • Analyzing and communicating project risks, providing actionable insights to minimize potential impacts.

  • Preparing regular reports and presentations for leadership and project teams, highlighting trends, progress, and recommendations.

  • Supporting continuous improvement of project control tools, systems, and best practices.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field — or 5+ years of major project experience.

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Acumen Fuse, or similar project management software.

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to identify trends and potential risks.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.

  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.

  • Experience in cost management, forecasting, and risk analysis is an asset.
