Job Description Summary

Responsible for proper matching and processing of documents to assure timely and accurate vendor payments. Summarize and report payment\cost information for plant management through the use of spreadsheets.

Job Description

  • Compile and sort accounts payable documents including purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices to substantiate business transactions, as well as maintain files for records retention of such documents.

  • Review and code vendor invoices in the computer systems for timely payment terms, appropriate account assignments, and proper G.S.T. applications.

  • Interact with vendors, Corporate accounts payable department, purchasing (Corporate and plant), and receiving personnel on all price discrepancies, payment terms, returns for credit, freight charges, and other related items.

  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports of Accounts Payable receipts, payments, and accrual activity for use in cost tracking and reporting.

  • Processes all invoices and supporting documents for capital construction in progress (CIP), as well as CIP reports and analysis as needed/required.

  • Monthly reporting of utility costs such as electricity, natural gas, and waste/garbage disposal.

  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and/or experience

  • High school education, plus one year of college level business school OR applicable experience.
  • One to two years experience in a Finance/Accounting office with application of personal computing skills, Windows application experience a must.

Other skills and abilities

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and PC skills.
  • Decision-making ability and teamwork are essential to this role.
