About the role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience as a visual, marketing, or brand designer
- Strong portfolio showcasing visual design, illustration, and storytelling skills
- Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop, plus curiosity about AI design tools like Midjourney, Runway, or Figma AI features
- Ability to distill complex technical ideas into clear, approachable visuals
- Collaborative and proactive, with experience working across product, design, and marketing teams
- Strong sense of visual craft, including typography, layout, color, and composition
- Experience designing for developer or technical audiences
- Familiarity with identity, security, or developer platforms
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, or interactive visuals
- Understanding of developer culture and how clarity, consistency, and credibility build trust

- We’re a distributed team of designers who share work early, give each other honest feedback, and keep things collaborative
- We care about making complex ideas clear and approachable, whether that’s through product design, research, or strong visual storytelling
- Designers here have real ownership. We partner closely with engineering, product, and marketing to influence direction and create experiences that reach millions of people worldwide
- Some days we’re refining a diagram or illustration to explain a tricky concept, other days we’re creating visuals for new AI-driven features or developer marketing campaigns
- We use async tools like Loom and Figma comments to stay connected across time zones, and we make space to experiment and grow
- As a Visual Designer, you’ll shape the look and feel of how we communicate emerging products, bringing clarity and craft to everything from diagrams to marketing assets
- You’ll join our Emerging Products team at Auth0, focused on building and scaling the next wave of identity and security capabilities
- Our work explores areas such as AI, fine-grained authorization, and developer experience, and we partner closely with Developer Marketing to share these innovations with the world
- As a Visual Designer, you’ll help shape how developers and customers experience Auth0’s innovation story
- You’ll bring clarity and trust to complex ideas through visuals for product launches, campaigns, events, and technical documentation
- Some days you’ll design diagrams and system visuals, other days you’ll craft developer-native graphics like code snippets or CLI-inspired assets
- You’ll also have room to experiment with AI-driven design tools and new approaches to storytelling
- Partner with Developer Marketing to design assets for campaigns, launches, and community channels
- Produce diagrams and illustrations that explain identity, authorization, and AI concepts in clear, developer-friendly ways
- Align marketing visuals with product direction and design systems
- Incorporate real product content (code snippets, APIs, terminal outputs) to build credibility with developers
- Deliver polished, production-ready assets across web, presentations, docs, and events
