PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR / FOREMAN – NIGHT SHIFT
MAIN FUNCTIONS
We are seeking a Production Supervisor / Foreman – Night Shift to oversee all packaging operations for fresh and dry yeast, as well as the drying department.
This role is intended for an experienced, hands-on leader who can establish a positive and strong presence on the floor and operate with a high level of autonomy.
The successful candidate will act as the primary decision-maker on the night shift, in a high-volume production environment.
Core Responsabilities
- Oversee production operations during the night shift (packaging & drying)
- Ensure operational continuity in a safe and compliant manner
- Maintain operational discipline and enforce procedures
- Supervision of unionized employees
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and coordinate shift activities to meet production targets
- Manage operations in a high-volume / high-throughput environment
- Optimize productivity (throughput, labor efficiency, material usage)
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Supervise employees: task assignment, training, discipline, attendance
- Respond to operational issues (line stoppages, absenteeism)
- Monitor raw materials and inventory levels
- Ensure effective communication and shift handover

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required
- Significant supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience with warehouse operations: shipping, receiving, and inventory counts.
- Ability to resolve operational issues in real time and make effective decisions.
An asset
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
PERSONAL ABILITIES
Required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet operational deadlines
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team engagement and communication
GENERAL CRITERIA

- Ability to communicate effectively in French, both spoken and written
