Job Details
The City of St. Albert is recruiting 2 individuals to join our Recreation and Parks department as Exercise and Wellness Specialists. Reporting to the Floor Services Coordinator, these positions are responsible for providing exceptional front-line customer service and program/fitness service delivery to our guests.
These are casual positions with the opportunity to work up to full-time hours, you will also have an opportunity to utilize your skills and training for personal training, group fitness instruction and more.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma with a minimum of three years' experience.
- Two-Year Diploma in Sport and Recreation Management, Personal Fitness Training or a related program combined with 1 year of related experience considered an asset. A combination of equivalent education and/or related experience will be also considered.
- Direct experience in customer service or fitness facility environment is an asset
- Current Intermediate First Aid, CPR Level C, and AED certification is required.
- CSEP- CPT (Certified Personal Trainer), NSCA-CSCS, CEP (Certified Exercise Physiologist) is preferred.
- Alberta Fitness Leadership or Canadian Fitness Professionals or any other fitness certifications or working towards the above certifications would be considered
Hours of Work

5 - 20 hours per week, depending on availability

Monday – Friday 5:15 a.m. – 9:45 p.m.

Saturday, Sunday and Holidays - 6:15 a.m. – 9:45 p.m.
Compensation
This position has an end date of December 31, 2026, with a possibility of an extension.
