CMM Operator

Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour We are seeking a detail-oriented CMM Operator to join our quality team. In this role, you will inspect and measure manufactured parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications. This position plays a critical role in maintaining quality standards and supporting production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CMM equipment to inspect precision machined components. Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements. Perform dimensional inspections using CMMs, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Generate first article inspections (FAI), dimensional reports, and inspection documentation. Identify and communicate non-conforming conditions to production and quality teams. Create and maintain blueprint ballooning and bubble maps. Perform CMM calibration checks, probe qualifications, and basic equipment maintenance. Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.

Qualifications

Experience operating CMM equipment, preferably Mitutoyo systems. Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading. Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection reporting. Knowledge of dimensional inspection reports, CAD models, Net-Inspect, and Excel. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
