Salary Range: $59,000-$65,000 per year
Job Summary
Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, the Total Rewards & Benefits Administrator supports the administration of the company’s compensation, benefits, disability management, rewards programs, and health and safety compliance initiatives across Canada and the U.S. This role is primarily operational, ensuring accurate processing, reporting, and communication of total rewards programs while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable legislation.
Accountabilities
- Maintain compensation records including job codes, salary ranges, wage grids, and incumbent alignment updates.
- Support annual compensation review processes, including preparation of spreadsheets, reporting, and tracking approved increases.
- Review new hire salary details against established pay ranges and escalate exceptions as required.
- Update compensation tracking reports and provide regular reporting to HR leadership.
- Assist with job benchmarking data preparation and documentation.
- Confirm salary ranges for new job postings and maintain the posting range tracker.
- Monitor minimum wage updates and ensure employee pay remains compliant.
- Liaise with benefits carriers and brokers to resolve employee inquiries and billing discrepancies.
- Support return-to-work coordination and accommodation documentation in collaboration with HR and managers.
- Administer employee perks and recognition programs.
- Track completion of required health and safety training and policy acknowledgements.
Abilities, Attributes and Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in HR administration, compensation, or benefits administration
- Experience supporting benefits and disability claims administration preferred
- Working knowledge of employment standards and benefits practices in Canada (U.S. exposure considered an asset)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (intermediate level)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with general supervision
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- CHRP designation (or working toward) considered an asset
