Production Scheduling Coordinator

Title: Production Scheduling Coordinator (PSC)
Reports To: Production Master Planner
Job Status: Salary, Full Time,
Schedule: Monday - Friday - 9am to 5pm, training on site then move into a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days in office per week
The Position
The PSC will organize and schedule production orders according to demand and quality standards. They are organized and results-driven with great critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Great communication, a strategic mindset, and great data analysis skills are essential for the role.
An excellent production schedule coordinator (PSC) is well-versed in production procedures and products while finding ways to optimize them ensuring goods manufactured by RFRK are produced cost-effectively that meet quality specifications.
They will work and collaborate with Menu Planners and stakeholders to help develop and plan seasonal menus for clients while keeping in mind the constraints of production employees, equipment, and time management.
The PSC will be effectively trained in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and work daily using these tools alongside various other departments to ensure each week’s production and distribution of products flow through the system smoothly without incident.
Key Responsibility Area
Production Scheduling
- Responsible for the scheduling of all our clients production requirements for childcare and snack services including lunch, all snacks, substitute meals, and any future services needed.
- Review and develop a plan for all seasonal schedules based on directions from service design & menu planners and provide periodical feedback to stakeholders on limitations or challenges.
- Generate and maintain any documentation pertaining to your role and responsibilities.
- Generate and maintain working spreadsheets for tracking and planning purposes while aligning the data with our ERP systems.
- Weekly reviews of upcoming orders vs stock levels and make appropriate changes to schedules so that they do not exceed equipment, shelf life, or storage capacities.
- Responsible for accurate inventory of all produced products. Investigate reported discrepancies and make the proper adjustments when required.
- Collect and report key operational metrics to share with the management team.
- Be available to help out with other duties as they are assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma
- Min. of 1 to 2 years of food manufacturing experience or in a related industry
- Knowledge and commitment to health and safety standards, regulations, project management responsibilities, and best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Suite, Business Central (ERP)
- A knowledgeable understanding of the language employed by Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong communication skills and command of English language (written and verbal)
