Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment. Work in employer's/client's home. Tasks: Administer bedside and personal care. Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk. Mend clothing and linens. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Provide companionship. Provide personal care. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Target audience: Elderly. Females. Persons with a disability. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Personal suitability: Punctuality. Dependability. Flexibility. Initiative. Organized. Reliability. Experience: Experience an asset. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth. Support for Veterans: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans . Offers flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace (for example: gradually increasing hours and responsibilities, etc.) . Support for Indigenous people: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Support for mature workers: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers . Supports for visible minorities: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities.
