RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the I&C activities on a variety of transloading projects as the project discipline lead.
- Field instrumentation and control system design and control strategy development
- Prepare technical documentation required for the execution of projects, including but not limited to standard specifications, design criteria, P&ID inputs, schematics, loop drawings, instrument datasheets, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, installation details, control narratives, network diagrams, cable schedules, instrument lists, equipment list
- Development and management of instrumentation and control system procurement packages
- Review vendor documentation to ensure conformity with engineering designs
- Manage scope, schedule, and budgets for control and automation work on projects
- Assist in field engineering and commissioning on site as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered with or eligible for registration with APEGA as a P.Eng or P.L. Eng.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineer, or Chemical Engineering is required;
- Registration in Ontario and/or BC is an asset.
- 10+ years working specifically within the I&C/Automation engineering discipline in an EPC environment with at least 2 years as a project discipline lead
- Some project engineering experience is considered an asset
