About the role

Family Practice 300-0726

We are a group of two family physicians and a Nurse practitioner with two MOAs and a part-time billing clerk. We are located in downtown Campbell River, walking distance to the waterfront, many restaurants and cafes. We work in a new building with large exam rooms and a shared back office. We regularly support learners and the clinic is accustomed to working with new grads. This is a great place for new-to-practice physicians to get started!

Main Responsibilities

  • Clinic hours are flexible but typically vary from 20-30/week with a mix of in-person and telehealth appointments.
  • Option for telehealth to be undertaken from home if preferred.
  • Scheduling can be suited to locums' preference as long as minimum manning of the office is met.
  • In-patient coverage is required, weekend on-call participation would be appreciated (roughly 1 in 5 weekends).
  • Option for participation in the local maternity clinic and call-roster if desired.

Required Qualifications

  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) desired.
