About the role

This position supports multiple Aeronautics Business Development Initiatives in Canada and Latin America (LATAM)
The Aeronautics Canada Country Capture Management will have responsibility for developing and maintaining close relationships with Canadian customers and supporting LATAM Pursuits in the domains of combat air, air mobility, and intelligence, Advanced Development Products (ADP), surveillance and reconnaissance; advocating for customer needs across current and future platforms; and identifying business profiles that address their requirements.

The Aeronautics Canada Country Capture Management will act as Aeronautics’ knowledge resource for the Canadian political, military and industrial profile, including its key decision-makers and influencers. They will lead internal Lockheed Martin teams in executing a portfolio of projects, including the creation of briefings, information responses, and white papers used to educate senior government and industry leaders, while ensuring compliance with all Business Development processes, policies and procedures.

The Aeronautics Canada Country Capture Management will work closely with the Lockheed Martin enterprise strategy teams, other Lockheed Martin business areas, and our international offices to align capture and pursuit priorities across the corporation.

The Aeronautics Canada Country Capture Management will be responsible for assisting the Director, Global Pursuits responsible for the CENTCOM, AFRICOM, SOUTHCOM, & Canada (CASC) in developing strategic approaches for the region and coordinating cross-regional and cross-organizational approaches to targeted regional projects. They will establish and maintain effective working relationships between Global Pursuits and other departments within the organization to ensure that mutual objectives are met.

What you bring to the role

  • Qualification from an accredited university in a related discipline from a recognized institution, and/or equivalent experience / combined education, including extensive professional experience (at an expert level)
  • The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of defence procurement in Canada
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate in-depth understanding of Lockheed Martin’s and wider Lockheed Martin capabilities, with particular emphasis on mapping these to the needs of the Canadian customer
  • Ability to demonstrate entrepreneurial innovation and adaptability, driving initiatives to enable successful business growth
  • Committed to personal excellence, ethical behaviour, and integrity
  • Proven depth of experience in pursuing and delivering successful outcomes in a business or similar environment
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to prepare, influence, and communicate clear messages that motivate and inspire action at all levels
  • Broad multi-disciplined experience, team player attitude, and an excellent understanding of Government and the supporting areas of Defence and Security

All successful applicants will be required to have necessary residency requirements to achieve security clearance at the appropriate level for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Professional credibility and experience in working closely with CAF and DND
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the target market and customer base in which to achieve growth
  • Experience that encompasses a military and commercial environment with evidence of success in bringing large programs of relevance through a business development cycle.

Salary Range

$129,000 - $169,500
