The Ottawa REDBLACKS are looking for energetic, and outgoing team members to join our 2026 Activations Team, aka the REDBLACKS Hype Squad. As part of this squad, you’ll be more than a brand ambassador, you’ll be the heartbeat of our in-person energy, helping us inject REDBLACKS spirit across Ottawa/Gatineau through unforgettable activations and guerrilla marketing. Our goal? To create moments that engage fans and are memorable.

This is a replacement position and requires on-site work. The hourly pay for this part-time position is $18.60.

What you’ll do:

• Represent the Ottawa REDBLACKS at festivals, events, and pop-ups all over Ottawa and Gatineau.
• Engage fans, and spark conversation in unexpected places.
• Create memorable moments, from handing out swag to executing viral stunts, you’ll deliver activations that stick.
• Engage with fans (and soon-to-be-fans) with confidence, positivity, and passion.
• Capture content-worthy energy, assisting our social content team with moments that are made to be shared.

What’s needed:

• Previous experience in promotions, events, or hospitality is a bonus, but positive attitude matters most.
• A natural hype person: You’re energetic, outgoing, and thrive in high-energy environments.
• A people person: You’re comfortable talking to anyone and love making people smile.
• A team player: You love being part of a crew and know how to support others to create big moments.
• A brand believer: You’re proud to represent the REDBLACKS and excited to grow the fanbase.
• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods.
• Availability throughout the season for external events & activations (May-November).
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and occasional weekdays.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
