We are looking to add a Firmware Engineer, Wireless to the Dream Team! Reporting to the Director of Engineering, they will lead the development of the Bía wireless protocols.
Your Mission
Join us as a Firmware Engineer, Wireless and embark on a heroic mission to revolutionize sleep with the Bía Smart Sleep Mask. Your mission will be creating, managing, and fine-tuning Bía's firmware to ensure our customers have a great sleep experience.

Job Type, Compensation, and Perks
- Full-Time
- Base Salary: $80k - $110k CAD

Your Responsibilities
- Code architecture, development environments, firmware programming, documentation, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release in accordance with our user requirements.
- Ensuring seamless device connectivity and data transfer over BLE, Bluetooth Classic, and Wifi.
- Optimizing power efficiency within firmware
- Cloud integrations with firmware
- Ensuring firmware is secure in factory and on-device.
- Devices continues to run smoothly without crashes and development is fulfilled on-time and on-budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor's (or higher, e.g., MS, or PhD) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field such as physics or mathematics, or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing firmware for consumer devices, with a preference for wearables, in languages such as C and C++
- Experience taking a product from idea to release
- Experience with wireless protocol implementations (BLE+Wifi)
- Experience developing with STM32 / RTOS platform
- Experience working with the following components: Audio, IMU, AFE4950, and Temperature.
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines to ensure critical bugs never make it into production environments
- Experience with firmware security best practices
- Experience with developing firmware QA processes
- Experience working in a startup environment or part of a small team
