Join Our Team as an Operations Technician – Millwright at Johnson Electric!
Location: Ancaster, Ontario (onsite)
Schedule: Continental 12-hour shift rotation (days and nights), overtime as required
As our next Operations Technician – Millwright, you’ll be responsible for performing repairs and troubleshooting mechanical and related equipment to ensure smooth operations. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will help maintain production efficiency and equipment reliability.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform repairs on pumps, valves, actuators, motors, gears, hydraulics, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems and recommend repair or replacement actions
- Interpret O&M manuals, schematics, and design drawings
- Coordinate with external contractors and inspect completed work
- Respond to emergency equipment failures and diagnose issues
- Support special projects, start-up, and commissioning of equipment
- Maintain accurate records in a computerized maintenance management system
- Perform welding, pipe fitting, and rigging as required
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a valid Certificate of Apprenticeship
- Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing
- 3–5 years of practical experience preferred
Technical & Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EAM CMMS systems
- Strong understanding of safety practices under the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Ability to interpret schematics, design drawings, and O&M manuals
- Good communication and collaboration skills
Work Environment:
- Exposure to noise, heights, confined spaces, and manufacturing conditions
- Physical demands include climbing, crouching, lifting, and operating material handling equipment
- Must use specialized protective equipment
- Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts
