About the role
The Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring timely delivery of goods and equipment. This position involves working closely with suppliers to meet and improve delivery timelines, making quick and creative decisions in a fast-paced environment, managing expediting reports to monitor trends and optimize vendor performance, and sourcing and coordinating transportation solutions when appropriate.

Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Create and execute sourcing strategies and manage key contracts and supplier relationships.

Utilize ERP systems to update and monitor orders.

Expedite orders and coordinate transportation and logistics to ensure timely delivery.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on shipment status, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Build and maintain strong working relationships through effective networking.

Work independently while facilitating supplier and customer meetings.

Understand business requirements, recognize demand patterns, and adjust strategies accordingly.

Identify and support cost-saving opportunities and process efficiencies.

Work closely with internal teams to monitor and resolve new and recurring delivery of goods to ensure smooth operations.

Post-secondary Education
-
2 years’ experience in a transportation and logistics role

CCLP and CTCS designations are an asset

Excellent communications skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel
