The Opportunity:
As a Land Development Design Engineer, your primary role will be to support the Civil Engineering practices to successfully deliver projects to clients in the land development and municipal industries, with a focus on projects in Edmonton & Calgary. Our hybrid work environment allows us to have some workdays at the office and some at home on a weekly basis.

What you bring to WATT:

Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
-
5 plus years’ experience in engineering discipline, specifically in land development and municipal infrastructure
-
Must be a registered member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
-
Civil 3D software knowledge and hands-on experience.
-
Experience in Stormwater Management design is an asset.
-
Strong presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent technical skills and attention to detail.
You will be responsible for**:**

Working with Civil Regional Leads, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Drafting Technicians to successfully deliver quality projects on-time and on-budget for a variety of land development and municipal projects.

Designing of various
land development and municipal projects including subdivisions and private sites. -
Act as Project Manager as required.

Liase with clients, municipalities, architects, and other stakeholders in order to drive forward projects.

Reviewing technical drawings, details, and specifications to ensure quality and oversight.

Supervising junior engineers and technologists.
-
Assisting with preparing proposals.
-
Developing relationships for partnering with other firms.
