full-time, permanent Systems Analyst, Oracle
ERP
working out of Edmonton, AB
.
As t
he
Systems Analyst, Oracle ERP
,
you are
responsible for the full range of application design, development, implementation,
maintenance
, and documentation functions related to EPCOR's ERP application.
Which
includes meeting operational requirements for ad hoc support, ticket support, system enhancements, and serving as a resource for major capital projects.

What you’d be responsible for

Contributing to Oracle ERP planning and maintaining cross-functional relationships.
-
Delivering results across performance metrics including incident responsiveness, change request accuracy, customer satisfaction, system availability, and knowledge KPIs.
-
Communicating openly and problem-solving to resolve defects, incidents, and customer issues within expected timeframes.
-
Estimating, designing, and configuring solutions to meet project and enhancement targets.
-
Following departmental policies to ensure consistent support and administration.
-
Addressing system availability issues urgently and supporting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
-
Documenting and enriching the knowledgebase to support long-term I
nformation Systems
sustainability.

Collaborating with Application Services to build and maintain reliable, efficient, and high-quality solutions.
-
Developing integrated, repeatable
Information Systems
solutions for long-term business process improvement.
-
Executing daily tasks while continuously improving systems and processes.
-
Participating in operational and capital projects as assigned.
-
Engaging with business users and addressing issues of varying complexity as directed.
-
Handling incidents (severity 1–5) professionally with minimal supervision, ensuring smooth progression through environments.
What’s required to be successful

Completion of a
Degree
or Diploma
in Computer Science
,
Computer Engineering/System Technology (or a related field)
from a recognized post-secondary educational institute
.
-
4
years o
f
experience with development and system analysis
of
Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Tuning.
-
2
years of experience with development and system analysis
of
Java.
-
2
years o
f
experience with development and system analysis
of
OBIEE.
-
Extensive experience with large, complex, and mission-critical applications with multiple interfaces.
-
Working experience within an Oracle E-Business environment or ERP application.
-
Experience gathering and understanding business requirements from peers and documentation
, as well as business users.
-
Understanding of Oracle Applications functionality, including configuration and use, as well as performing system administration tasks.
-
Demonstrated capability to design, configure, and unit test I
nformation
S
ystems
solutions.
-
Ability to react with urgency to troubleshoot critical issues when faced with application availability situations.
-
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of company personnel and maintain effective working relationships.
-
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
-
Active learning skills required to adapt to changes in technology and business requirements.
-
Experience with System Delivery Life Cycle
is
considered
an asset.

Experience opening, managing, and resolving service requests with Oracle
is considered an asset.
