Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a full time (40 hours per week) Hardware Sales Clerk

at our Home and Building (HABS) location in The Pas, MB.

What you’ll do

The successful candidate is responsible for delivering excellent customer

experiences in alignment with Swan Valley Co-op’s guiding statements; merchandising and displaying product; and maintaining department cleanliness and housekeeping standards. Core duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Operate a cash register and point of sale system, and assist with daily cash audits when necessary.
• Perform all duties associated with inventory stocking, including receiving and assisting with inventory counts when required. 
• May participate in ordering product.
• Mix paint as required and make product recommendations.
• Maintain shelf and display stock and organizing all goods intended for sale to meet established standards.

Who you are

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and

• Plumbing and/or electrical experience considered an asset.
• You have excellent customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
• Highly motivated and have the ability to multi-task.
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days and Saturdays.
• Manual/heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) on a repetitive and regular basis.
• You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
