Location:
Regency Retirement Resorts have 8 locations in the Okanagan, including Vernon, Penticton, West Kelowna, and Kelowna. This position is on site in Glenmore within Kelowna.
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Activities Manager, you will be driving Residents to and from appointments, shopping and on tours. Picking up and delivering supplies and materials as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional conduct, grooming, and appearance to meet resort standards.
- Schedule and provide transportation for Residents, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Assist with transportation for the Activity Department’s planned activities as needed.
- Collect and deliver supplies and materials for the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bus both inside and out.
- Perform daily safety inspections, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
- Keep a daily kilometer log for the bus.
- Ensure all Residents are accounted for on return trips using checklists.
- Ensure the bus is in safe operating condition and report damage to the Maintenance Director.
- Foster a team environment through positive interactions with other departments and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of Resident and organizational information, supporting their well-being.
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures and maintain respectful interactions with Residents and visitors.
- Assist with new employee orientation and perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Class 4 Drivers license. (Bus Drivers Only)
- Clean Driving Abstract from Ministry of Transportation
- WHMIS
Skills for Success:
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Able to plan and organize transportation service.
Salary and Hours of Work
- This is a part-time position with a temporary set schedule, which may transition into a permanent role.
- The position is scheduled for four days a week (weekdays), with shifts from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- The hourly wage for this position is $20.00.
