IT Advisor (Compliance Systems Support)

Annual salary: $ 109,700.00 - 138,700.00

Position Highlights
This position is accountable to provide operational management and technical expertise for MRS (Mandatory

Reliability Standards) systems such as SigmaFlow, SureSite, CIP Access Information Portal. The ideal candidate has a

strong background in IT operational support, network/ infrastructure support and system integration/implementation.

What you'll do

  • Acts as a project manager and technical expert by leading the development and implementation of MRS system

platform solutions and ensuring seamless implementation.

  • Develops resource plans; determines business priorities and recommendations; ensures deadlines and

deliverables are met, and; acts as a technical lead in troubleshooting and resolution.

  • Provides input and recommendations to MRS system roadmaps and work programs.

  • Manages and mentors a team of technical professionals in day-to-day performance of work.

  • Reviews System Administrators and Developers’ translation of business requirements to technical requirements

on development and configuration.

  • Provides ongoing technical leadership and support during design, development, test, and service introduction

phases including technical specification reviews and approvals.

  • Consults and confirms business requirements with Business Analysts, Process/Practice Owners, and business

counterparts.

  • Builds relationships with CIP Program office and other stakeholders by truly seeking to understand business

priorities and core requirements.

  • Ensures that the creation and maintenance of operational documentation and standard operating

procedures are in place to reduce support risk and inefficiency.

  • Overviews or develops the configuration of custom workflows, data libraries and reports in the MRS systems.

  • Performs regular reviews of system platform configuration and enhancements to identify opportunities to improve

customer experience for various compliance areas.

  • Monitors system health, availability, security, and performance.

  • Monitors incident, problem, and request tickets to ensure trouble calls and support requirements are dealt with in

a timely, and effective manner to ensure SLA is met.

  • Collaborates with vendor support, and other service providers on product upgrade, patch installation and hot fixes.

  • Manages the relationship with IT service vendors, providing direction on enhancements, and development work.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience with IT operational support and system implementation. Solid understanding and

working knowledge of infrastructure / network support, and system integrations.

  • Intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency is also required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing technical professionals is considered highly desirable.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills within the context of MRS systems, and Data architectures.

  • Proven understanding of T-SQL, Powershell Scripting, and HTML/CCS and .Net framework.

  • Understanding of ETL tools like informatica and scheduling tools.

  • Ability to make decisions and recommendations that are informed by a broad, comprehensive, and long-term perspective

while taking into consideration stakeholders’ needs.

  • Understands how to prioritize work and works independently.

  • Ability to work in collaboration with others to develop and implement solutions that addresses the needs of

stakeholders in various compliance areas.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills. Effective presentation skills, including the ability to convey

complex technical issues to diverse audience.

  • ITIL Foundation certification is considered as an asset.

  • Experience supporting MRS systems is considered as an asset.

  • Ability to obtain security clearance for a Security Sensitive Position classification.

  • Exceptional, proven leadership ability in managing, motivating and developing a team, and to influence cross-functional

teams.

  • Exceptional relationship management, collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • CISSP certification would be an asset.

  • Demonstrated customer focus.
