The Chemist will be responsible for applying various chemical measurement methods and processes to guarantee the integrity of materials used in rubber-mixing operations.
What you will do:
- performing chemical measurement tests across a variety of materials and applications;
- retrieving chemical samples from an industrial environment;
- guaranteeing measurement compliance throughout the testing process, allowing the release of products and/or the tests results;
- monitoring test results and performing standard verifications, reporting all non-conformities and shifts in performance;
- collaborating to determine the root cause of defects and non-performance, and resolving the issues at the team level; and,
- troubleshooting errors with lab equipment and working collaboratively to continuously improve the testing procedures.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred;
- experience working in a chemical lab and industrial setting is preferred;
- experience analyzing data, reporting, and presenting results;
- strong written and verbal communication skills;
- proven teamwork, interpersonal, and planning skills; and,
- proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
