Official Internal Job Title Claims Adjuster
Status Temporary (Fixed Term)
Job Description In this 18-month contract position you will be responsible for the overall handling of automobile physical damage claims assigned in a timely, courteous and professional fashion including minor to moderate losses.

Summary Of Role & Responsibilities
- Confirm policy coverage and interpret policy conditions
- Investigate and analyze the circumstances of the loss
- Negotiate a satisfactory settlement and settle within file authority
- Communicate with other departments through the handling of the file
- Maintain a current diary system and document all conversations and file activity
- Willing to be cross trained on more moderate to complex losses
E ducation and Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience adjusting auto physical damage claims
- Familiar with the OAP1 and legislative revisions
- Energetic, enthusiastic individual who is able to work independently and contribute as part of a team
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2000 and/or XP
- College/University degree or equivalent
- Working towards CIP designation
