What is the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will work directly with the project manager and be responsible for managing daily operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Site Supervisor will serve as a key point of contact between project stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and team members.
What you will do here:
- Plan, schedule, and execute construction tasks in accordance with the construction schedule and scope of work.
- Ensure subcontractors arrive on site and conduct their work as specified and as scheduled.
- Maintain communications with project team regarding the planning and execution of construction tasks as it relates to meeting schedule and budget targets, quality of products and installations, conduct of staff and subcontractors, relations with subcontractors, employees, vendors and customers
- Maintain a daily log of events including attendance on site of subcontractors, inspectors and owner representatives, health and safety events, and job progress.
- Comply with and enforce, the duties outlined within the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Constructions Projects
- Complete and submit project paperwork (timesheets, packing slips, safety orientation, inspection and testing, etc.)
- Maintain healthy and safe work environment by enforcing procedures and standards and complying with legal regulations
- Follow company policies and procedures, OHSA regulations and safety policies
- Reporting on and communicating project updates to the project manager and other key stakeholders.
- General carpentry tasks, site organization and general cleaning.
- Other duties as assigned by project and operations team
What qualifications you bring to the Team:
- Post secondary education with 5 years’ experience in the ICI construction industry.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Excellent budgeting skills with a focus on cost management.
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes in construction.
- Leadership and organizational skills. Must be detailed oriented and work well with a team.
- Self-starter with a positive work ethic & able to see a task through to its conclusion.
- Proven ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Experience in construction estimating to aid in project planning and execution.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances on-site.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
- Driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Valid certifications: first aid training, WHMIS, fall protection, elevated work platform (recommended)
