Senior Investment Operations Analyst - Derivatives
About the role
An exceptional, newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced investment operations analyst to join one of Canada's reputed investment firms, based in Toronto. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role offers you the chance to work within a highly respected organisation managing a multi-billion $ and multi-asset class portfolio. Your expertise in derivatives and trade operations will be valued and developed.
You will play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless post-trade execution across a diverse range of derivative instruments, collaborating closely with trading and portfolio management teams, and external partners. What you'll d**
- o:Manage the entire post-trade lifecycle for an array of derivative instruments including futures, options, interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, FX forwards, and other OTC product
- s.Oversee timely and accurate trade capture, affirmation, matching (such as DTCC Omega), and settlement processe
- s.Support collateral management processes and trades across multiple asset classes such as fixed income, equities, FX, and commodities while maintaining familiarity with global market conventions and cutoff
- s.Act as the primary operations contact for Portfolio Managers and Traders, and collaborate closely with Fund Accounting and NAV Control tea
- msIdentify and analyse operational incidents, implement robust control measures to mitigate risk
- s.Contribute to system upgrades and automation initiatives and lead or participate actively in cross-functional projects including system implementations, workflow automation, and onboarding new product
