The Delivery CX team’s mission is to provide a best-in-class delivery experience for Amazon customers. We builds customer-facing experiences which provide customers with delivery visibility and self-service controls to ensure they never miss a delivery. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to help us raise the bar on shopping and delivery convenience through technical innovation in GenAI for BI space.
Data analysis is at the core Amazon’s culture, and your work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for our team. You will be gathering customer insights, mining data, making recommendations, and helping senior leaders make key business decisions. You will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest and most complex data warehouses in the world to gather insights using data from across Amazon. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will build bridge between our tech product and optimized customers experience by connecting, deepdiving, and surfacing data driven insights.
Key job responsibilities

Translate business questions and concerns into specific quantitative questions that can be answered with available data using sound methodologies. In cases where questions cannot be answered with available data, work with engineers to produce the required data

Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions

Build various data visualizations to tell the story and let the data speak for itself

Retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions or improving system performance

Build decision-making models and propose solutions for the business problem you defined

Conduct written and verbal presentations to share insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication

Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting, analysis, and experiment design: data integrity, analysis, validation, and documentation

Apply data mining, quantitative analysis, and statistical models to understand how our customers interact with us and identify the best opportunities to improve the customer experience and meet our goals.

About the team
The GDCX BI team supports Amazon’s Global Delivery Customer Experience organization by providing fast, accurate, and scalable business intelligence solutions. It partners with product, UX, and tech teams to deliver impactful analytics for strategy, planning, and performance evaluation. Key responsibilities include data pipelining, experimentation design and analysis, dashboarding, customer insights, and operational planning. The team emphasizes strong code quality, scalable architecture, and frugal resource use while ensuring data accuracy, privacy, and compliance. By empowering end users with AI enabled self-service BI tools, GDCX BI drives data-informed decisions that enhance customer experience and business efficiency across Amazon’s delivery ecosystem.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree

Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design

Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis

The base salary for this position ranges from $61,400/year up to $102,600/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
