THE ROLE Are you passionate about organizing, protecting, and optimizing information? We’re looking for a proactive Information Asset Management (IAM) professional to lead and support lifecycle management across our division. In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for all IAM matters, guiding employees on policies, standards, and best practices. You will coordinate key initiatives that improve the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of how information assets are classified, retained, disposed of, digitized, and consolidated into corporate systems. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with our IAM policy framework while supporting audits, ATIP requests, litigation searches, and day‑to‑day service requests.
You will play a central role in developing training, tools, and Standard Operating Procedures that strengthen information‑management capabilities across the organization. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will help translate enterprise strategies into practical departmental improvements—whether through records remediation, workflow enhancements, or new IAM solutions. You’ll also support the continuous improvement of the corporate classification and retention schedule, contribute to the Enterprise Business Glossary, and help ensure data completeness and quality across repositories.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate widely, influence organizational practices, and contribute to a culture of compliance and information stewardship. You will support onboarding and offboarding processes, maintain volumetric inventory reports, and escalate non‑compliance concerns as required. Qualifications Needed Education, Certifications and Licenses Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Management or a related field AND some years of experience in records and information management or a related field
AND
Records and Information Management certificate, as asset
Experience In information asset management, records management, and information governance
In managing information asset lifecycle
In interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and regulations
In conducting research and business needs analysis
In preparing and analyzing reports
In using data management tools and systems
In project coordination
In planning and conducting presentations and/or training
In managing multiple priorities
Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
