Electrical Engineer
About the role
Position Title: Electrical Engineer (P.Eng.) Position Hours: Full Time- 37.5 hours/week Position Location: Opportunities London, Ontario / Ottawa, Ontario We are hiring for a full-time position. Key Responsibilities Design electrical building systems, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and site service systems. Prepare detailed technical specifications Review AutoCAD drawings and Revit 3D models Apply electrical engineering requirements in accordance with the OBC, Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, CSA standards, and related regulatory frameworks. Conduct site investigations and perform construction reviews to assess existing conditions, validate installations, and ensure adherence to design documents. Provide contract administration services. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Contribute as a key team member—leading aspects of design while supporting discipline leads and mentoring others as required.
Education and Licensing Licensed professional engineer (P.Eng.) required Post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario with a minimum of 5 years of electrical design experience on complex building projects. Experience delivering electrical systems for major institutional and healthcare projects, including power distribution, lighting, and life safety systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP 3D, considered an asset Experience working within delivery models Deliver design packages, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines with precision. Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and Ontario Building Code.
Compensation: $90,100 – $124,100
