About the role
Wild Rose Co-operative Association Ltd. is recruiting for a Grocery Clerk I to help with store transfers and customer grocery deliveries in the Sedgewick and Killam, Alberta area!
Who we are:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following (and other duties as required):
- Providing customers (both internal and external) excellent, efficient, courteous service
- Provide a neat, clean, fresh and well merchandised department
- All duties associated with inventory stocking and taking inventory counts
- Compliance with government standards and regulations that apply to the Sedgewick and Killam Food stores
- Picking customer orders and delivering within Sedgewick &/or Killam areas
- Operating cashier till as needed
- Stocking shelves and facing product as needed
- Complete up-to-date in-house training and certifications via e-learning courses
- Alert for the unauthorized removal of merchandise and equipment
- Ensure the quality and condition of all merchandise meets the store's standards
- Follow all cleaning and maintenance schedules
- Compliance with all Safety & Transportation policies and procedures and look out for the safety of others
- Adhere to all Wild Rose Co-op policies and procedures
This position requires the use of computers, as well as heavy lifting of products up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. This position requires the driver to hold a Class 5 licence and to maintain a clean driver's abstract in accordance with our Transportation Compliance Manual.

Who you are:
You have previous customer service experience. Candidates will demonstrate the following:
- Understanding of our Values (Teamwork, People, Excellence, Community)
- Committed to providing excellent customer service to our member-owners as well as internal customers
- Quality communication skills
- Ability to work days, evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of navigating the Sedgewick/Killam area an asset
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and clean Driver's Abstract (candidate must consent to Wild Rose Co-op pulling a 3 year abstract as required to ensure eligibility to operate company vehicles)
- Must be able to pass a background check issued by the company
- Must be capable of lifting heavy products up to 50 lbs, climbing flights of stairs etc.
This position will report to the Store Manager - Camrose Food.
This position is based on 20-25 hrs/week, based on operational needs. The successful candidate will have the ability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
