About the Role
Reporting to the Talent Management Lead you will play a key role in shaping ISL’s future by leading full-cycle recruitment initiatives across multiple disciplines and locations for five unique sectors of business.
As a trusted advisor to our hiring managers, you build trust quickly as you:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for technical and professional roles across multiple disciplines which may include Transportation, Municipal, Community Development, Bridges, Buildings, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Management, and others.
- Develop and lead a recruitment strategy for seasonal hiring such as Construction season and Student Co-op Recruitment.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop strategic sourcing plans aligned with workforce planning goals.
- Manage an assigned portfolio of requisitions while maintaining a high-quality candidate experience.
- Process all documentation and update systems with new hire data
- Be a primary point of contact for Recruitment onboarding facilitating all onboarding actions in Dayforce and other systems at ISL.
- Provide consultation, guidance and coaching to leaders on how to assess candidates effectively against technical and behavioral competencies needed for roles.
- Educate and inform hiring managers on best practices related to overall recruitment strategies and inclusive hiring.
- Support our hiring managers with talent pipelining for future workforce planning.
- Partner with the Talent Management Lead on developing strategies to attract niche skill sets.
- Track recruitment metrics and provide insights to improve time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and process efficiency.
- Support employer branding initiatives including career fairs, campus recruitment, and social media campaigns as needed.
- Ensure recruitment practices align with ISL’s values and employment legislation across Western Canada.

- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is preferred. Strong experience with a comparable ATS system will be considered.
Bonus points for:
- CPHR or RPR designation
- Leading full cycle recruitment for a designated portfolio within a consulting engineering environment.
