Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Pipefitter to join our valued client’s team in Bonnyville, Alberta for an upcoming shutdown project. This is a contract position ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced industrial environments and take pride in delivering safe, high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Install, fit, and assemble piping systems according to shutdown project specifications.
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and work packages.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required dimensions.
- Test installed systems for leaks and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet critical project timelines.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area, adhering to all site and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of industrial or oil and gas pipefitting experience (Journeyperson not required).
- Valid safety certifications: CSTS-09 or CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and H2S Alive.
- Ability to read and understand piping drawings and isometrics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and precision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience on turnaround or shutdown projects.
- Confined Space Entry and Fall Protection certifications.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
Work Environment:
- Industrial shutdown project in Bonnyville area.
- Outdoor work conditions with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and confined spaces.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) required and provided.
