About the role
We are looking for an experienced desktop support technician to join our Vancouver team! This role will require successful candidates to work at our Vancouver (Atomic Cartoons & Thunderbird) and Burnaby (Great Pacific Media) offices.
Atomic Cartoons Inc. is an award-winning animation studio with locations in Vancouver's Mt. Pleasant Animation District, Ottawa's Hintonburg neighborhood and Los Angeles. Since its inception over 25 years ago, Atomic Cartoons has created and produced numerous 2D and CG animation productions including Super Team Canada, Princess Power and Last Kids on Earth. Atomic is well known for its artist-friendly culture and flexible work environment. We are always looking for artists of all levels to join our team!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Set up new employee work stations including: machines, equipment, software, network connections and cable management.

Track Assets (Hardware and Software) using our existing system.

Solve Level 1 & 2 Desktop tickets and issues in a timely manner.

Mentor junior desktop support personnel.

Create and manage user accounts.

Create and maintain documentation of support issues using IT wiki.

Maintain and clean existing equipment.

Clean, maintain and organize storage rooms.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Previous experience working in a similar desktop support role.
- Experience solving Level 1 & 2 Desktop tickets.
- A strong understanding of operating systems including Windows, MAC OS and Linux.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to do heavy lifting as required.
- This role is a hybrid role and will require some days to be worked in our Vancouver and Burnaby offices.
- Experience using Flow Production Tracking (FKA Shotgrid and Shotgun) is an asset.
- BC residents are preferred for this role.
- Currently legally eligible to work in the Canada.
START DATE: ASAP
