The Opportunity Under Sunwing Vacations Group , we are looking for a Senior Creative Content Copywriter to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Senior Creative Content Copywriter, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing high-impact advertising campaigns across all WestJet Group brands, inclusive of Sunwing Vacations, WestJet, WestJet Vacations, SellOffVacations and Luxe Destination Weddings. This role combines exceptional copywriting craftsmanship with strategic thinking and team mentorship, driving breakthrough creative concepts while elevating the skills and careers of junior creative team members. The position reports to the Creative Content Manager and will be located in Toronto, ON .

What You’ll Do

  • Lead strategic creative concept development and execute breakthrough advertising campaigns, driving innovation and creative excellence across all WestJet Group brands, and serving as a senior creative voice in campaign strategy and execution.
  • Lead creative brainstorming sessions and concept development workshops.
  • Shape and evolve brand voice and messaging strategy across WestJet Group's portfolio, ensuring consistent yet distinctive brand personalities; lead brand voice workshops and trainings sessions.
  • Mentor and develop junior creative talent, fostering a culture of creative excellence and professional growth within The Studio.
  • Lead editorial content development and strategy for inflight magazine and brand storytelling content. Responsibilities include developing issue themes, content calendars and editorial strategy, skills mentorship of junior talent and content creation.
  • Manage complex creative projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results under tight deadlines. Includes presenting creative work to senior marketing leadership and executive stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of advertising copywriting experience with demonstrated progression to senior-level creative responsibilities.
  • Degree in advertising, marketing, communications, journalism or related creative field.
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing breakthrough creative campaigns across multiple media channels; editorial inclusion an asset.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute brand voice strategy.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior creative talent and/or leading collaborative creative teams.
  • Ability to present creative work persuasively to senior stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing, social media and emerging advertising platforms.
  • Experience with broadcast scripting, long-form editorial content and experiential marketing copy.
