About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be a positive, professional team player who is well groomed and polished.
- Setup of tables, chairs, buffets, coffee stations, coat check, setting tables, organizing rentals, pinning linen & organizing client items (gift bags, name cards, menus, etc.)
- Bar set-up; stocking product, glassware, bar equipment, rental equipment.
- Competently and confidently bartend in a fast-paced environment.
- Thorough knowledge of Steam Whistle products, house wines, spirits and specialty cocktails.
- Ability to accurately measure beverages and follow cocktail recipes.
- Strong attention to detail to be able to track consumption and fill out sheets.
- Ability to carry a tray and related service equipment as required for passed service, bussing and clearing.
- Help with cash out sheets and inventory as required/assigned.
- Assist with setup and teardown of the spaces, ensuring spaces are always client ready.
- Ability to work both bartending and serving shifts interchangeably.
- Follow all Steam Whistle's Health & Safety policies and procedures as well as the Code of Conduct
The hourly salary for this position is $23.00
You will be offered approximately 15 to 30 hours per week

Experience and Qualifications:
- Must have exceptional customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
- 1-3 years experience as server/ bartender in fast paced restaurant, banquet hall, staffing company or event venue.
- Heavy lifting (replacing kegs etc.) and standing for long periods of time is required.
- Must have varying availability including some weekdays, evenings and weekends.
