About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical or Mechanical Engineer to join our process engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-pressure gas equipment design with focus on Gas Processing, Filtration Equipment & collaborating with our operations and service teams. This role is ideal for individuals who have at least 5 years experience in the high-pressure gas market, a great attitude, and a focussed approach to innovation
Key Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with our Director of Process Engineering and our customers to develop new and innovative gas equipment solutions that meet the customers needs.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to industry codes & standards and company guidelines and private high-level interpretation of existing standards globally.
- Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, and General Arrangement drawings
- Assist operations with commissioning and startup, resolving real-world system issues
- Select and specify equipment
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for equipment and internal processes.
- Work closely with operations and service teams to understand process requirements and challenges.
- Provide engineering support and troubleshooting assistance for operational issues.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and programs for operations staff. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years experience in the high pressure gas industry, preferably in CNG.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- P.Eng. in one or more Canadian jurisdiction. Skills:
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with AHJ’s in both the US and Canada.
- Good working knowledge in pressure piping codes and standards.
- Strong proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Visio, HYSYS).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Global working experience is strongly preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
