Senior Product Development Engineer About The Role At Analog Devices, you’ll be part of a dynamic team of digital, high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal designers, as well as algorithm and software developers, working together to deliver cutting-edge RF transceiver chips that are transforming the world.
As a member of the Product Engineering team, you will take ownership of a specific product or group of products—guiding them from initial definition through production and release. You’ll also mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering growth within the team.
This role requires close cross-functional collaboration to ensure every product meets ADI’s rigorous standards of quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the central interface between design, test, application, software, and marketing teams throughout the product lifecycle—from initial design through completion and distribution.
- Evaluate new silicon and software in collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify, simulate, and drive system-level solutions for transceiver products.
- Verify and release embedded software for RF transceiver products.
- Validate digital, DSP, and analog features to ensure performance and compliance.
- Conduct RF measurements, assess system performance, and evaluate Ethernet protocol functionality.
- Lead the transition of silicon and ARM-based software from early development to full production release.
- Develop and operate automated software verification test benches using C#, Python, LabVIEW, and TestStand.
- Engage directly with applications and marketing teams, as well as customers, to troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues.
- Participate in customer visits as needed to support product deployment and feedback.
Must Have Skills
- Integrated Circuits Knowledge: Solid understanding of RF circuits, including one or more of the following domains: integrated circuit (IC) design principles, digital circuits, analog circuits, ADCs, DACs, and high-speed serial interfaces.
- Testing-Focused Coursework/Exposure: Coursework or exposure in key areas such as Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Communication, Digital Communication, RF Systems, RF Circuits, and Digital Estimation Theory.
- Test Equipment Familiarity: Familiarity with bench test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, high speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzer.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++/C#, LabVIEW, and TestStand.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with design, application, software, and marketing teams to ensure product quality and resolve issues throughout the product lifecycle.
Preferred Education And Experience
- Master's degree preferred in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated technical leadership abilities
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
