Description:
As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.
Classification: Resp Therapist I Union: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Allied Health Area 1 Primary Location: High Level Northwest Health Ct Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 1.00 Posting End Date: 27-JUL-2026 Employee Class: Regular Full Time Date Available: 06-AUG-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 10 Shift Pattern: Days Days Off: Saturday/Sunday Minimum Salary: $41.95 Maximum Salary: $53.91 Vehicle Requirement: Driver's License, Vehicle Provided
Required Qualifications:
Active or eligible registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:
In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Northern Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $6,300. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Permanent and temporary employees working in excess of one (1) year whose work sites are above the 57th parallel are also eligible to receive an annual reimbursement of personal travel expenses to an annual maximum of $1,235. Eligible employees will be reimbursed for the cost of one (1) round trip, per calendar year, to any destination within Alberta. Travel must originate from a community above the 57th parallel to any destination within Alberta and cannot be carried over.
