Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate implementation of Norland EDGE across business units and projects.
  • Execute approved implementation plans in partnership with GMs, Project Managers, and HSE teams.
  • Drive consistent adoption of system procedures and Critical Risk Controls while maintaining alignment with approved standards.
  • Maintain strong field presence to verify implementation, conduct toolbox talks, coach supervisors, and support change management efforts.
  • Monitor, track, and report implementation progress against the HSE Framework roadmap.
  • Lead field verifications and internal assurance activities to confirm effective system deployment.
  • Oversee data integrity, usage, and reporting within SiteDocs.
  • Prepare dashboards and progress updates for the Norland EDGE Steering Committee.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to Safety Leads, Advisors, and Coordinators to ensure consistent execution.
  • Support incident reviews, corrective action tracking, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Systems & Training Lead to deliver onboarding and rollout training and address competency gaps.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 8–10 years of progressive HSE experience in construction, contracting, or industrial environments.
  • Proven experience implementing HSE management systems across multiple sites or business units.
  • Strong knowledge of Western Canadian workers’ compensation legislation and COR requirements. CRSP, CSP, CHSC, or equivalent designation preferred.
  • Strong leadership, change management, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Analytical mindset with experience tracking metrics and reporting system performance.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Compensation:

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $110,000-140,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience. Norland offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary, extended health and dental plans with premiums full paid by the company, as well as paid time off and RRSP matching.
