About the role

JOB SUMMARY

To manage, direct and promote the sale of existing products and initiate the development of new products to meet customer needs to achieve sales and profit objectives. Responsible for all sales activities within pre-determined industries. Develop new market opportunities.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, (Salesforce, Zoho, Sugar CRM etc.), LinkedIn
  • Strong follow up, and execution skills.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge within plastics industry, in particular with Extrusion manufacturing processes would be an asset
  • Basic knowledge of Engineering and Tooling would be an asset
  • Willingness to work extended and/or flexible hours

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred, but not always required).
  • 2–5 years of experience in lead generation, inside sales, or business development.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Comfortable with cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn outreach.

EDUCATION

  • University or College Diploma and/or equivalent experience above.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and identify prospective companies and decision-makers through databases, LinkedIn, industry directories, and other sources.
    • Generate qualified leads through cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and social media outreach.
    • Qualify prospects by understanding their business needs, budgets, timelines, and fit with our solutions.
    • Maintain and update CRM records with accurate lead and opportunity details.
    • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align outreach strategies with campaigns.
    • Schedule meetings, demos, or discovery calls between prospects and account executives.
    • Track and report weekly/monthly KPIs, including calls made, emails sent, meetings booked, and leads converted.
    • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and target market challenges.
    • Forecast annual sales volume by account and potential new business and accountable for profit and loss.
    • Plan and deliver customer presentations, participate in promotional events and opportunities.
    • Manage and increase customer relationships through product knowledge, marketplace trends & and strategies.
    • Other duties as assigned.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

  • Communicate with administrative, plant and supervisory staff as required.
  • Perform compulsory overtime as necessary and in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
  • Comply with company Rules of Personal Conduct, regulations and policies
  • Provide and/or participate in training, as required.

WORKING****CONDITIONS

  • Office environment with possible travel within Canada and the United States.
