YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Project Evaluation General Supervisor, ensuring collaboration with the Exploration Manager, Ontario and to the Director of Strategic Exploration Opportunities, you will be part of the Exploration Department. You will provide support to the exploration project evaluation group, working on early-stage exploration opportunities to advanced projects reviews in Ontario and other parts of Canada. You will ensure that objectives are met while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, the health and safety code of conduct and the environment.
- Prepare and keep up to date evaluation documentation on various Third-Party opportunities
- Source, compile, synthesize, and maintain confidential exploration data compilations for various opportunities and districts
- Create figures and maps to assist with project reviews and data presentations
- Work with databases in ArcGIS Pro and 3D models in Leapfrog and integrate data as needed to support evaluations
- Prepare recommendations on project viability for the Corporate Exploration Team
- Participate in district reviews to assess the geological potential of selected areas
- Participate in weekly meetings with the group
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering – Graduate degree considered an asset
- 10+ years of experience in Greenfield and Brownfield Exploration Projects with previous Project Evaluation experience
- Experience in production geology and/or resource estimation an asset
- Registration as a Professional Geoscientist in the Province of Ontario (P.Geo.) required
- Strong academic and applied background in varied deposit styles with particular focus on gold
- Proficiency with GIS software platforms
- Proficiency with 3D modelling software (Datamine, Leapfrog) an asset
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in English as the work will be done in collaboration with Agnico Eagle sites where the main language is English
Your Work Schedule:

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday during the day with the possibility of a 5/2-4/3 schedule. Telework possible according to the policy in effect

The main workplace will be the regional Exploration office in Timmins, although it is possible to work from one of AEM's various offices such as Kirkland Lake, Sudbury, Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d'Or, Toronto or Mirabel. Occasional travel for project visits.
