About the role

About This Position We are looking for a Technology Support Specialist to join our Information Technology Department.

Responsibilities Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Perform daily Production printing operations which includes printing, sorting and distribution of system and user generated print reports, Policies, Billing Notices etc.
  • Provide basic IT and administrative support to the IT Technical team
  • Act as the first point of contact for company staff’s IT service requests
  • Log service calls in the ticketing system and assigns calls to Tech Analysts
  • Coordinate and liaise with vendors for reporting technical issues and repairs
  • Monitor and report HealthCheck statuses of IT equipment
  • Inventory of toners, production printing stationery and card stock
  • Prepare and submit Accounts Payable vouchers for IT vendor invoices
  • Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers, printers and peripherals, cases of printing paper
  • Other print operator and departmental duties as may be assigned during and after business hours

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in Computer Technology field or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through related work experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an IT Help Desk role
  • Good understanding of computer hardware and software concepts.
  • Basic technical knowledge of Windows operating systems and IT Networking
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose first level support calls
  • Excellent communications and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a Team
