THE POSITION This well-rounded marketing student co-op role will expose you to a wide range of marketing activities supported by our team across multiple business functions. You will assist with document branding, content updates, and the organization of departmental resources, while developing and updating presentations and marketing materials. The role also includes supporting social media planning and management, generating creative content ideas, and identifying opportunities to improve digital channels such as websites and social platforms. You’ll contribute to industry and competitive research, data management and analysis, asset library development, and photo/video projects. In addition, you will support internal marketing initiatives, events, trade shows, sponsorships, inventory coordination, logistics, budget tracking, and general administrative tasks—gaining hands-on experience across the full marketing mix.

  • Gaining hands-on experience supporting brand consistency through document branding and process updates
  • Learning how to organize and manage marketing documents, resources, and digital asset libraries
  • Developing practical skills by creating and updating presentations and marketing materials
  • Contributing creative ideas and draft content for social media channels to help grow engagement and followers
  • Learning how to evaluate social media and website performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Assisting with website updates and issue identification to improve the user experience
  • Building research skills by supporting industry research and competitive market analysis
  • Developing analytical skills through data management, reporting, and analysis
  • Supporting photo and video projects to learn how visual content is planned and executed
  • Assisting with internal and external testimonial initiatives to understand storytelling and brand voice
  • Gaining exposure to internal marketing initiatives, events, and social committee activities
  • Learning how trade shows, sponsorships, and memberships are tracked and coordinated
  • Supporting inventory management, shipping, and logistics to understand marketing operations behind the scenes
  • Assisting with invoicing and budget tracking to gain insight into marketing financial processes

  • You accurately identify website issues and follow through to ensure updates or fixes are completed
  • You deliver research and data analysis that is clear, well-organized, and useful for decision-making
  • You communicate clearly, ask questions, and collaborate effectively with marketing and cross-functional teams
  • You manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • You actively participate in photo, video, and testimonial projects, meeting timelines and expectations
  • You contribute positively to internal marketing initiatives, events, and team activities
  • You support trade shows, sponsorships, and inventory coordination in a timely and dependable way
  • You track invoices, budgets, and materials accurately and responsibly
  • You show curiosity, a willingness to learn, and steady growth in your marketing skills throughout the term

What Skills And Experience You Require

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles, social media platforms, and digital content
  • Comfortable creating and updating presentations (PowerPoint or Google Slides)
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Creative mindset with an interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Basic research and analytical skills, with an interest in market and industry research
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and basic reporting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also managing tasks independently
  • Positive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to learn new tools and skills
