What is the opportunity?
RBC is currently looking for a Senior Product Manager reporting into the Business Liquidity & Deposit Solutions team. This Product Management leader role with specialization in data analytics and automation with preferably full-stack development experience. This role will support portfolio insights for Business deposits.
The role will require utilizing advanced analytics expertise to find relevant insights along with a good balance of storytelling, and cross-collaboration with stakeholders to drive market share volume growth along with net interest income growth.
What will you do?
- Manage analytics “infrastructure” particularly Flow of Funds tool and support to continually monitor performance on all aspects of deposit volume and associated revenues across all the relevant segments, sectors, regions within BFS
- Build a user-friendly front end (the parts of a web page a user sees and interacts with) and the back end to, seamlessly and efficiently, process behind-the-scenes data storage, manipulation and processing, to calculate and display outcomes for the use of strategy, product and sales teams.
- Use data science and management expertise to bring data from multiple existing data sources, work with DNA in adding fields or data tables for new clients and products, then clean the data, apply business rules and store in in-house data base for quick retrieval, use and analytics.
- Deliver accurate and timely analytics that enable the business to meet both short term and long term Market Share objectives. This also includes the needed analytics for on-going reviews including monthly & quarterly Business Review Deliverables for BD&TS
- Lead data analytics initiatives and identify insights opportunities for BD&TS portfolio, partnering with BDTS SMT and Enterprise Analytics team (DNA) to optimize portfolio and revenue growth
- Provide insights, analytics and help develop and drive tactical, short and long term strategy
- Automate existing manual and semi-automated solutions to reduce time and effort required to do data management (ETL) and analytics.
- Deliver end-to-end analysis and presenting actionable insights to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner
- Communicate, frame and align strategic and analytical objectives with senior leaders
- Own, automate, and standardize deposits portfolio analyses and work collaboratively with partners from Corporate Treasury, Enterprise Data and Technology teams
- Build and maintain complex reports and dashboards for products & features that drive value in pricing decisions and customer conversations
- Promote analytics across the broader team to enable RBC to become data and analytics driven organization
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proven experience in SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases
- Strong proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation tasks
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/Seaborn
- Experience in report automation techniques to streamline reporting processes effectively
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automating data tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and take initiative
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills to collaborate effectively across functions
- Strong understanding of both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Expertise in designing and developing interactive calculators and applications using Python and GUI frameworks such as Tkinter, PyQt, or wxPython.
- Experience in building custom applications or using low-code platforms (e.g., Zoho Creator, Microsoft Power Apps) tailored to specific calculation needs
- Experience working in Banking or Financial Services Industry
Nice-to-have
- Experience in Advanced Analytics or Finance

- Knowledge of Financial Institution Funds Transfer Pricing
